    Great photos. I grew up in Parkchester. Still live in the Bronx ( Throggs Neck ), but remember great days in Parkchester. Good friends, shopping, school. From the photos it looks like Met Oval is still a great gathering spot.

    Thanks so much for the great comments guys! Yes, Parkchester has seen some tough times in the past, but the community is well onto its way in recapturing “the glory days” -and Mike, if you lived here when it was considered one of the nicest places in The Bronx, you know more than anyone exactly what I am talking about!

    Keep checking back, because as soon as I work through some technical issues with this site, I will be posting photos on a much more regular basis.
